Planning a wedding comes with a million details, and I know photography is one of the most important decisions you'll make.

And if you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out—I’d love to chat and make sure you feel confident and excited about your wedding photography!
You deserve the best.
Your wedding photos will be with you forever.
I’ve photographed so many weddings in crazy places that I can light any space beautifully.
Winter doesn’t scare me.
I will know everyone’s names, and treat your guests kindly.
Your meals will be hot, because your wedding will be on time.
Your church ladies will love me.
Your photos will be fun, and amazing, and everything YOU envision – because I listen to all of my clients in ways above and beyond the norm.
Your once-in-a-lifetime investment should be with someone who is not just saying the ‘woo-woo’ website things, but who lives for her clients and knows your entire wedding gallery will be insanely gorgeous.
I care deeply about my craft, artistic vision, clients, families, wedding parties, and client experience.
I have an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh, so I come from a technical background. Understanding my gear, lighting ratios, and white balance is easy for me.
I started my wedding photography business in 2009, right after my husband and I got married. Our wedding photos were pretty terrible, and the experience was pushy – everything that I vowed not to do in my own business!
Although my background is technical, I also bring forth my creative side in my work and pursue new, interesting angles consistently.
Merging all of my God-given talents has brought me to a successful and rewarding wedding photography career.
I love wedding photography. I always look for the best LIGHT. Light that will make your skin look amazing, and light that is interesting and will add to your gallery in a beautiful way.
I believe that your wedding images should capture emotion, light, and a crisp and classic vibe.
I do not use filters on your images – I am always shooting for beautiful light, interesting background, and moment. Your images should not be trendy, but they should be contemporary.
I am very technicially knowledgeable and can handle lots of situations quickly!
Single focus? Impossible!
With over 15 years of wedding-day experience, I am able to manage a lot of things on a wedding day.
This includes:
I’ve often wondered if I should include “Wedding Planner” in my package lists, because I help my clients a lot. I have photographed over 500 weddings, so I can tell you all about other vendors, who will create a party at your wedding reception, what you should wear for engagement photos, how many hours to book your transportation, etc.
I am an expert at timeline creation. My clients are always welcome to reach out to me throughout the planning months for valuable input.
I keep an updated, extensive list of Pittsburgh wedding vendors that I highly recommend. This list goes to you after booking as an additional exclusive resource.
We will have a list of family + group portraits to work from on your wedding day. This helps us to stay organized and efficient with our time together. However, I have lots of families who ask for additional groupings on the day-of and (time-permitting) we fit them right in.
It’s all about both organization and flexibility!
I send a questionnaire ~4 months before your wedding date for you to start getting together details like VIPs, photo requests, locations, and timing.
Once your questionnaire is completed, I put all of the details together into a shared online timeline.
We have a call ~2 weeks before your wedding date to solidify plans.
Average spend $7800
Full day coverage starts at $5050
Hourly rates available for small weddings & last minute bookings.

On a wedding day, I usually take 4000+ images. In editing, I cull that down to the final gallery which gets rid of blinks, bumps, lighting changes, weird faces, and any blurs.
When selecting images for your gallery, I am looking for variety without endless repetition.
Every single image in your gallery is color corrected and beautiful. I color correct for white balance, exposure, skin tones, and lighting changes. Your entire gallery will be consistent and beautiful, not just a handful of images.
I want your skin tone to look true-to-life in your images. In the digital era, it is very easy to apply trending filters to images, but often at the expense of skin tone. I believe that true-to-life color and editing will stand the test of time.
I do not apply filters to your wedding images. I want your skin tones to look beautiful and classic, since your images will remain relevant this way over the years.
I do ask my couples if they like “light and airy”, “in the middle”, or “contrasty”. That information helps me when photographing the day, not in editing.
Your entire gallery is duplicated and delivered in black and white, and they all look wonderful.
How can this be?
When all of your images have beautiful light in color – they look great in black/white too!
Images will be delivered in high-resolution .jpg format with no watermarks.
I share preview images to you via a gallery link within 2 weeks of your wedding (usually much sooner). Your full gallery + album design is released ~4 weeks after your wedding date (usually sooner).
Do I shoot film? No. I shoot digital only.
While film is beautiful, I photograph weddings in digital-only format for these reasons:
Film style and grain can be easily replicated via digital editing tools if desired
Film cost and processing would increase cost for my client packages
Shooting film requires more time and delays on the wedding day
Analog memories of your wedding day can be delivered as physical prints from digital images and wedding album
Film processing labs send scans – digital images – back to clients. It’s kind of like going one way or the other to get to the same result.
All of my lenses are cross-focal length, which means if one breaks I have other focal lengths that photograph similarly. I actually love photographing events on primes, but usually I use my zoom lenses for quick changes in scenarios.
I have backup cameras and memory cards at all times.
Weddings happen in all sorts of lighting conditions—whether you’re saying your vows in a dimly lit church, celebrating during a rainy day, or having your reception in a beautifully moody ballroom.
My experience with lighting means I’m prepared for anything. I know how to make sure your photos are clear and beautiful, no matter the conditions.
Good lighting is key to capturing the true atmosphere of your wedding, and I’m skilled in adapting quickly so that every photo looks its best, regardless of the environment.
I use flash when necessary, and almost always on wedding days. If I have beautiful, natural light, then I will use it to create beautiful images. If I need to create light, I use flash in a way that feels natural and balances with background elements.
The number of hours that you need for the day (we’ll get this in the call!)
Ask any of my previous couples: I do more than show up on your wedding day. I can help you through a LOT of planning. Think of me as your amazing-wedding-photographer-who-also-knows-a-s*&t-ton-about-planning.
I usually find that 8 hours is a great point for most of my wedding couples. Some need more, some need less, and some need a lot more. The number of hours, honestly, is not something that need to be 100% set at booking time. It’s actually best to hash that our with our timeline planning, so that you’re not paying for more than you need but you’re also covered for the important events!
Every gallery is different, but a typical 8-hour wedding gallery includes ~700 color images. They are duplicated into black/white.
Every client is unique, and every package can be customized. Just ask – I’m always an open book!
All packages include the digital rights to print for the images. You can wallpaper your house in your wedding photos. You can share them everywhere online. You can print them for years and years.
I retain copyright, which means that I can use the images on web, social, print, etc. I do, however, ask all of my clients about their privacy requests prior to use.
Every gallery is linked directly with my professional print lab. There are coupons on prints offered throughout the year. You can order from 4×6 to 24×36 prints directly through the print lab. They are printed on Fujifilm paper, and highly recommended for anything that goes on a wall or in a frame.
The print lab also offers canvases and gallery wraps.
Travel 40+ miles outside of zip code 15010 requires $250 travel fee for the day. Most of my weddings are not outside of my typical range. Ask me!
Overnight travel requires hotel + gas at IRS rates.
Wedding albums are the single best way to maintain your wedding images. Printing your photos, beautifully displaying them, and placing them in a book that can be around for decades is the best way to utilize your wedding photography investment.
None of my clients have ever regretted their wedding album. Many of my clients have forgotten to download their online gallery.
All of my client albums are Made in the USA on Fujifilm paper and hand-bound.
I create an initial design of your wedding album, which is just a starting point for you. From there, you can switch out, remove, add, and adjust images for the final design.
Clients are welcome to my studio for an Album Design Session after the wedding. This way, your album is designed and completed in one night’s time – easy!
I also offer online design editing services for those who may not live in the Pittsburgh area.
Albums are digitally designed and printed in square format – 8×8, 10×10, and 12×12
8×8 albums are parent books
10×10 and 12×12 are bride and groom albums
Covers may be Linen or Leather, all natural materials. There are a wide variety of beautiful colors to choose from that match either home decor or wedding colors.
Couples have the option to include text and/or image on the front cover.
Wedding books are linen covers with thin pages (they will wiggle when you move them). Thin pages are two prints glued together.
Wedding albums are leather covers with thick pages (they will stay steady when you move them). Thick pages are two prints glued with a hard substrate between them.

Leeann is organized and knowledgeable, but most importantly she is kind and talented. At the end of the wedding journey you want your photos to tell the story and hers did. The turn around time for the photo gallery was quick too. I would highly recommend Leeann for anyone looking for a photographer.
