I know what you’re thinking – I’m a “Pittsburgh Photographer”. That might be true, for the most part, but I actually LIVE really close the Ohio border! Columbiana, Ohio is really a quick drive from my studio, so I need to make sure everyone knows I’m also a Columbiana Ohio Wedding Photographer!
Josh and Jacqueline got married in the Columbiana and Boardman, Ohio areas. They live in PA, but cross into Ohio often and have friends in the Youngstown area – so Columbiana was a nice middle ground!
They all got ready at the Das Dutch Haus Best Western. This was a little bit of a tricky location, because I moved a lot of furniture in the Grand Suite to have the getting ready photos I really imagined. It worked out well, though, because the photos of the pre-wedding time are really beautiful. Jacqueline’s whimsical wedding dress was from Stephanie Leigh Bridal Shop , and her makeup was done by Wilden Beauty. I really loved the light feel of her wedding dress, since it fit the outdoor, spring vibe and her relaxed attitude.
After everyone got themselves dressed and ready for a wedding day at Das Dutch Haus, we hopped in their transportation by Fab Limos and headed to the church (St Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Parish, Boardman Ohio) in the rain. We were worried all day that the rain would deter our plans for taking photos in the vineyards, so the raindrops on the way to the ceremony was worrying.
During the ceremony in their Boardman church it was great to see Josh smiling and waving at Jacqueline as she came down the aisle. Following the ceremony, the rain had subsided and we got to do a bubble exit outside and family photos outside of St Charles Borromeo as well. We then made the decision to head to the Vineyards at Pine Lake and hope that the rain stayed away.
When we arrived at The Vineyards at Pine Lake Event Center, my second photographer went inside to photograph the details while I photographed the wedding party and wedding couple outside in the vineyards and by the lake. We got some really fun photos close to the Event Center with the wedding party – full of personality and color (thanks to beautiful flowers by C&C Ribbon Florist). Loved the blue, coral, and pink color combination. It photographed beautifully!
I took Josh and Jacqueline into the vineyards for some beautiful photos with the vines. The Vineyards at Pine Lake has some gorgeous outdoor locations for wedding pictures! I loved this part of the day, and certainly could have kept going if we didn’t need to get back for reception events.
At the wedding reception, they highlighted their travels with pretty hand-drawn centerpieces and paper signs, and the cookie table was AMAZING , with 80% of the beautiful cookies baked and decorated by Jacqueline herself. She sure has a talent! The party kept going thanks to DJ Branden Morales, and I have to give a big shoutout to their videographer Angela from Ace Images. She was a joy to work with!
Would I love to photograph more weddings at The Vineyards at Pine Lake Event Center? You bet! This is a location that’s really close to my studio, and crossing into Ohio is super easy. The vineyards make for beautiful wedding photos, and the lake is so serene and wonderful for an event venue. <3
