If you plan to get ready at the Pittsburgh Golf Club – you’re in luck! There is a beautiful space for the bride to get into her wedding dress! When I’ve photographed weddings at the club, my bride and her friends were often doing their hair and makeup in an upstairs (3rd floor) room that has access to the outdoor balcony. This is a great, big room with a restroom and conference table – perfect for the bridal gang to meet up, do makeup, and have some lunch.
After getting some fun photos on the balcony, the bride can then go downstairs to the women’s ‘locker room’ space to get into her wedding dress. I especially loved this room because it was large enough for everything, was private, and also had great natural light and classic backgrounds. The mirrors and windows were perfect and it is a great place to spend a few private moments before the wedding ceremony and day all start!

I also like walking some of the nearby Squirrel Hill streets, like Northumberland, to take photos with the gorgeous Pittsburgh brick facades and archways. There are tons of options within short walking distance!
