Michelle and Elijah’s wedding day was full of charm, laughter, beautiful details — and even a surprise appearance by some of my own cousins! When I realized we had loved-ones in common, it made the day even more fun. It’s always such a joy to photograph couples who feel like friends already!

A Traditional Ceremony at First Presbyterian Church
The day began at the historic First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh — one of the city’s most beautiful and classic venues for a wedding ceremony. This church is rich with tradition and architecture, with stained-glass windows that make the light feel magical. They do have strict photography rules, so we stayed respectfully behind the scenes to capture the moments discreetly — but trust me, even from a distance, the emotion between Michelle and Elijah was crystal clear.

Bridal Style & Florals
Michelle was absolutely glowing in her Oleg Cassini gown from David’s Bridal — elegant, romantic, and perfect for a classic Pittsburgh wedding day. Hair and makeup were flawlessly done by the talented team at JuLea Beauty Bar, and her jewelry from Paixão Jewellers added a perfect sparkle. The florals, by Fragile Paradise, were soft and romantic — a beautiful complement to the traditional setting and spring vibe of the day.

A Pittsburgh Classic: Grand Concourse Reception
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to one of the city’s most iconic venues: the Grand Concourse. If you’ve never been, this former train station turned restaurant is a showstopper with its vaulted ceilings, grand staircase, and rich historic charm — a dream space for a celebration.
The reception was cozy, lively, and full of sweet moments. Michelle and Elijah’s friends and family were such a fun crew — and yes, that may be a little biased coming from me, since some of them are literally my family too! But truly, everyone was so welcoming and full of joy.
We had pretty spring weather most of the day, with a little sprinkle of rain here and there — just enough to count as good luck without slowing us down. And the best part? A golden-hour glow that lit up the city streets and made for the dreamiest portraits just before dinner.

Sweets, Dancing, and Celebration
The cake was by Oakmont Bakery — and you could tell the moment dessert was served, because the entire room lit up with excitement. (Seriously, people in Pittsburgh know and love an Oakmont cake!) DJ Coop — aka Todd Karpa — kept the party going with a great mix of music and energy.
Guests had a blast striking a pose in the Pittsburgh Paparazzi photo booth, and Tortorice Limousine made sure everyone arrived in style.
A Love-Filled, Rain-Kissed Kind of Day
Michelle and Elijah are kind, thoughtful, and full of life — the kind of couple who make you feel lucky just to be a small part of their story. Their wedding day was a beautiful reflection of who they are: classic and elegant, but never too serious to have a little fun in the rain (or with their fun friends).
If you’re dreaming of a timeless, elegant wedding in the heart of Pittsburgh, Grand Concourse weddings offer a stunning backdrop and warm hospitality that’s hard to beat. Michelle and Elijah’s celebration was proof of just how magical that combination can be!
