Tressa and Alex’s wedding at Nemacolin was the perfect blend of elegance, intention, and architectural beauty. Nestled in the scenic Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, Nemacolin provided a dreamy backdrop for this intimate celebration of about 35 guests. With a stunning ceremony at Reflections and an intimate reception at Mulligan’s, every moment of the day was rich with charm and perfectly tailored to the couple’s vision.
Getting Ready at the Grand Lodge
Tressa began her day in one of the gorgeous suites at the Grand Lodge at Nemacolin. The space was filled with soft natural light—a photographer’s dream—and offered the perfect balance of calm and luxury. Her dress from One White Lane Bridal Gallery was sleek, modern, and completely her. As she slipped it on with the help of her glam squad, the mood shifted from quiet anticipation to excitement.
Hair by Wanderlust Beauty Studio and makeup by Beauty by Caitlin D. added to the polished, glowing look Tressa carried through the day. Every detail came together effortlessly, thanks to the thoughtful planning of Kristen Kane Events, who curated a relaxed and flawless timeline.

A Ceremony at Reflections
The ceremony took place at Reflections at Nemacolin, and I can’t say enough about how gorgeous this venue is. Reflections is unlike any ceremony space I’ve photographed—it has this incredible architectural structure with soaring ceilings and expansive windows that flood the space with natural light. The entire design of the building feels peaceful and open, with a modern yet warm feel. It was the ideal setting for Tressa and Alex to exchange vows.

The weather that day? Absolutely perfect. Warm sun, a gentle breeze, and clear skies—the kind of day you cross your fingers for when planning an outdoor or semi-outdoor ceremony. The energy of the space and the couple’s vows felt deeply personal and genuine. The floral arrangements by 2 Buds Floral accented the space beautifully with lush, organic blooms that added softness and elegance without overwhelming the already stunning architecture.

Portraits and Scenic Moments
One of the perks of getting married at Nemacolin is that you’re surrounded by beautiful photo opportunities at every turn. After the ceremony, we wandered around the Reflections property for portraits. The landscaping is pristine, and the backdrop of the mountains and forested grounds gives every image a timeless feel. The setting made documenting Tressa and Alex’s love feel effortless.

Reception at Mulligan’s
After portraits, the celebration continued at Mulligan’s, Nemacolin’s cozy and upscale golf club venue. It’s perfect for a smaller guest list and offered just the right amount of space for dining, toasts, and dancing. The space was dressed in elegant florals by 2 Buds and featured warm lighting that created an inviting atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy.
The evening felt like one long exhale—comfortable, meaningful, and full of joy. Tressa and Alex moved from table to table, sharing custom notes with friends and loved ones. Their film by JT Penderville Films will no doubt capture the emotion and beauty of this day in motion, but it was such a joy to freeze so many meaningful moments in stills.

Final Thoughts
Weddings at Nemacolin are always special, but Tressa and Alex’s day stood out for its thoughtful simplicity and deeply personal touches. Between the striking architecture of Reflections, the intimacy of Mulligan’s, and the impeccable vendor team, this wedding was a true celebration of connection and style.
If you’re planning a Nemacolin wedding, especially one centered at Reflections or Mulligan’s, I can’t recommend these spaces enough. Whether you’re envisioning a large celebration or something more intimate like Tressa and Alex, the venue and staff offer a seamless, beautiful experience.
