Marissa and David’s wedding day at Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at the Priory was filled with love, laughter, and family — the kind of day that reminds you exactly why I love what I do! It was a beautiful (and surprisingly hot!) October day in Pittsburgh, with sunlight spilling through the city and plenty of joy to go around.

Getting Ready at The Priory

The day began at the Priory Hotel, where Marissa got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids and family. The atmosphere was calm and full of happy anticipation, a perfect start to such a meaningful day. Her classic Justin Alexander gown from Bridal Beginnings was elegant and timeless, and she paired it beautifully with jewelry from Mathew Jewelers. Hair and makeup by Glam To Go completed her radiant bridal look. She was glowing!

Portraits in the Priory Garden & Allegheny Commons

Before the ceremony, we took portraits right in the Priory’s charming garden, as well as across the street from the church at Allegheny Commons West Park. The greenery and Priory building made for such lovely backdrops, and we were lucky to get that perfect golden October light shining through the trees that day. Despite the warm weather, everyone was full of energy and smiles (and maybe a few laughs about Pittsburgh’s unpredictable fall “heat wave”!).

Ceremony at St. Peter Parish

Marissa and David exchanged vows at the historic St. Peter Parish on Pittsburgh’s North Side, a church known for its beautiful architecture and meaningful ceremonies. I’ve photographed quite a few weddings at this church, and it’s pretty and relaxed every time. Love it! The moment Marissa walked down the aisle was so emotional. You could feel the love between these two and the deep support of their families. David, who comes from a large, close-knit family, had his twin brother standing beside him as best man, which made for such a special touch!

Reception at Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at the Priory

The reception took place in the stunning Grand Hall at the Priory — one of Pittsburgh’s most breathtaking venues. The high ceilings, stained-glass windows, and dramatic ambiance created the perfect setting for an unforgettable night. McCandless Florals filled the space with beautiful blooms that tied the day together perfectly.

Dinner and drinks were provided by Priory Catering, and the cake came from Bella Christie and Little Z’s Sweet Boutique . The Bachelor Boys Band (who I love!!) kept the dance floor packed all night long. I have to give a special shoutout to Marissa’s sister, who absolutely owned the dance floor — she brought so much energy and fun to the evening!

Family, Fun, and Heartfelt Moments

This was one of those weddings where everyone felt like family. Both sides were so kind and welcoming, and you could tell how excited they were to celebrate Marissa and David’s love. The day ran smoothly thanks to Events by Emily, with support from venue coordinator Jennifer Halajco and her amazing team at the Priory.

From the emotional ceremony to the lively reception, this day was a true reflection of two families coming together — full of laughter, happy tears, and a love that lights up every room.

If you’re dreaming of an elegant, timeless celebration in the heart of Pittsburgh, Grand Hall at the Priory weddings offer the perfect mix of grandeur, warmth, and history. Marissa and David’s day was the perfect example of that — an unforgettable celebration of love surrounded by beauty and joy.
