Caroline and Bryce’s wedding day was the perfect mix of elegance, sentiment, and fun — with beautiful nods to their Pittsburgh roots. Their ceremony took place at the iconic Heinz Memorial Chapel, followed by a stunning reception at the University Club in Oakland. It was a day filled with grace, laughter, and some truly unforgettable moments (especially when “Sweet Caroline” hit the dance floor!).

Getting Ready

Caroline started her morning surrounded by her closest friends and family, and I absolutely loved photographing her getting ready! She was calm, kind, and absolutely radiant — the kind of bride who lights up every room. Her gown, a Martin Thornburg design from House of Couture Designs, was timeless and elegant. Hair by Ashley Hunkele and makeup by Emily Myers Beauty completed her effortlessly classic bridal look.

Her stationery from Zola set the tone perfectly — simple, refined, and full of personal touches that carried through the day.

A Ceremony at Heinz Memorial Chapel

The ceremony at Heinz Chapel was nothing short of breathtaking. (I mean, I’m kind of partial to Heinz Chapel every time, since that’s where I was married!) The soaring stained-glass windows and golden light created an unforgettable backdrop as Caroline and Bryce exchanged vows. Check out this cute photo of their ring bearer looking out of the stained glass windows. So sweet. Heinz Chapel is0 one of Pittsburgh’s most romantic spaces, and seeing them surrounded by their loved ones made it even more special.

Portraits Around the PITT Campus

After the ceremony, we explored the University of Pittsburgh campus for portraits — a location that meant so much to Caroline, who graduated from Pitt’s engineering school. It was such a sweet, full-circle moment to photograph her walking hand in hand with Bryce through the same places that shaped her journey years ago.

Reception at the University Club

The celebration continued at the University Club, one of my favorite venues for elegant city weddings. With classic architecture, warm lighting, and sweeping views, it’s always a showstopper. The space was beautifully transformed by florist Jeff Donati, who created romantic arrangements that complemented the venue perfectly.

Dinner and desserts by Signature Desserts were both beautiful and delicious (the cake was as pretty as it was tasty!). Planning by Kristen Kane Events ensured the day ran flawlessly from start to finish, and Emily Daniels from the venue team made sure every detail was seamless.

Once the dance floor opened, Max Salada brought incredible energy with music and lighting that set the tone for the night. And of course, the highlight of the evening — when “Sweet Caroline” played — had everyone on their feet, singing at the top of their lungs! (As any Pitt alum knows, that song is practically a university anthem!)

A Day Full of Joy

Caroline and Bryce’s day was elegant yet full of fun — exactly what every couple dreams of. Between the heartfelt ceremony, the personal Pittsburgh touches, and the joyful dancing, their wedding was one to remember.

If you’re planning a University Club wedding in Pittsburgh, this celebration is the perfect inspiration — a blend of sophistication, sentiment, and pure joy.
