It sure helps to have a bride who works at the Renaissance Hotel! We got the hookup to take night time rooftop photos from the suite for their engagement session. We started their session at Point State Park, where Erin and Derek went on their first date. After that, we walked to the Roberto Clemente Bridge for more fun Pittsburgh images, and then finished the session inside of the Renaissance Hotel.

I have to say I get lots of clients who ask about night time rooftop photos, which I LOVE! The key thing to making this work for your engagement photos is to have access to a great location. Easier said than done! It helps to ask friends and family who may work downtown. I have also photographed night engagement photos on parking garages, but there is more likelihood of getting kicked out, so it’s more risky!
