Erin and Derek’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of elegance, joy, and Pittsburgh spirit — the kind of celebration that makes you smile long after it’s over. Held at the stunning Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel in the heart of the Cultural District, their ceremony and reception were full of thoughtful details, emotional moments, and one unforgettable dance party!

A Staircase Ceremony to Remember

Erin and Derek chose to say their vows right inside the Renaissance, on the grand staircase — and it was truly magical. The architecture of the hotel offers such a timeless, dramatic setting, and the staircase ceremony felt personal, warm, and full of love. One of the sweetest moments of the day was seeing Erin’s coworkers, who are part of the Renaissance team, gather during their shifts to watch her walk down the aisle. You could feel how loved and supported she is!

North Shore Portraits — Right in the Hustle of Game Day

After the ceremony, we headed out for portraits around the North Shore and Cultural District. And yes — it was a very busy Pittsburgh day! Fans were pouring into the city for a Pirates baseball game, which added a ton of energy and excitement (and a few cheers!) to our photo time. Erin and Derek were such good sports about it all. Easygoing, friendly, and totally unfazed by the crowds, they just leaned into the fun and trusted the process. And let me tell you — the photos are amazing!

A Chic Reception at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel

Back at the Renaissance, the reception space was absolutely gorgeous, dressed up with lush florals by Dormont Florist. Erin looked radiant in her gown from Bridal Beginning, with hair by Styled with Passion and makeup by the always fabulous JL Makeup Studio. Her look was classic and glowing — the perfect complement to the Renaissance’s refined vibe.

The dance floor stayed packed all night thanks to DJ Joseph Costa, who brought the party and kept the energy high. Erin and Derek’s friends and family were ready to celebrate, and they did not hold back!

One of my favorite details of the night? The cookie table — a Pittsburgh wedding tradition done right. There were tons of delicious homemade cookies, along with a beautiful cake from the beloved Bethel Bakery. Every bite was as sweet as the couple themselves.

Their day was beautifully orchestrated by Fallison Events, whose team ensured every detail went off without a hitch. And Erin’s elegant jewelry from Glatz Jewelry added just the right touch of sparkle.

A Joyful Day, Start to Finish

Erin and Derek were such a joy to photograph — relaxed, kind, and totally in love. Their wedding was a perfect reflection of who they are: welcoming, stylish, and full of heart. If you’re planning a Renaissance Pittsburgh wedding, theirs is the perfect inspiration — classic downtown vibes, a dramatic ceremony location, and a party you’ll never forget!
