One of the most beautiful and iconic Pittsburgh venues, especially for the golf lover - Oakmont Country Club is a staple in the wedding world of this city. The grounds are absolutely stunning, especially when we can make it out to the Church Pews, and the venue is an ultimate classic beauty.
I love the large ballroom, ample options for photographically-beautiful locations, and wonderful people that make the Oakmont Country Club run to perfection.

WEDDINGS AT OAKMONT COUNTRY CLUB
Looking for a venue that can really host an elegant outdoor cocktail hour? The back patio of Oakmont Country Club is perfect. It looks right out over the golf course and the Rolex Clock that will let your guests know that it's time to enjoy the evening with the scenery. The patio is long and spacious, leaving guests with lots of room to wander toward the putting green, or grab a drink inside if they prefer.
COCKTAIL HOUR AT OAKMONT COUNTRY CLUB
A separate, large ballroom breaks the reception from the cocktail spaces, so the reveal of your wedding reception space can remaind a surprise. The ballroom itself is spacious, with room for a band, bar, and live painter if you'd like! The dance floor space can also easily host all of your best party people.
The patio opens for guests directly from the ballroom, as does the 'cookie table room', which is connecting to the ballroom as well. There are lots of spaces for your guests to find their ultimate comfort level to enjoy your celebration at Oakmont!
WEDDING RECEPTIONS AT THE OAKMONT COUNTRY CLUB
I LOVE photographing weddings at Oakmont! It has a ton of spaces for beautiful photos. Upon arrival, I like to photograph the front of the club. This is a great location to get wedding party portraits and showcase the arcitecture of the building, so that you can remember this iconic place.
The back putting green space (where your guests can watch from cocktail hour) is also a great option! I've photographed wedding parties in this area as well, since the back of the club is beautiful with that light minty-green color of the building, As long as your shoes are good, you can step onto the grass or the putting green area for photos with the scenery and Rolex Clock in this space. I've also used this space to photograph bride and groom portraits in a pinch, since it's beautiful and we don't need to travel on a golf cart.
On the golf course, there are so many options! Of course, an all-time popular request is to visit the Church Pews. We are typically driven to this location by the most wonderful, sweet driver - it's a great little ride out on the course! The Church Pews highlight the club in the background, and are a perfect addition to a wedding day gallery from Oakmont.
On the way back from the Church Pews, there is a large lone-tree that I like to stop and use for photos. It adds a nice touch of 'big world, small people' vibes to the gallery as a unique addition to the wedding photos. Across the turnpike from Church Pews and heading back toward the club there is a large ivy wall that falls into pretty shade and makes for a wonderful photo spot as well.
We can't forget the little stone bridge with a view of the club or the Rolex Clock - those are must-haves as well. Plan from golden-light portratis and you can sneak right out past the patio for some beautiful scenery that truly sparkles. The choices here are endless!
