Classic venue. Gorgeous old wood. Incredible staff. Beautiful grounds. What more could you say about St. Clair Country Club? It's one of Pittsburgh's elegant, classic golf club venues located right in the heart of the South Hills.
I love this venue for it's open ceremony space, multitude of photography locations, and exceptional staff. The entirety of St Clair Country Club is a dream for your wedding venue!

WEDDINGS AT ST. CLAIR COUNTRY CLUB
When you have your wedding at St. Clair Country Club, the women will typically get ready in a large upstairs space called the Alibi Room. This room has large windows that let in a lot of ample light and are great for a location where the bride can get into her dress and do final details. I suggest you keep your belongings on the opposite side of the room for photo purposes.
The groom will likely be in the St Clair Room, which is adjoining to many of the other spaces on the first level. This allows the groom to venture around a little more for wedding photos prior to the ceremony.
GETTING READY SPACES
The ceremony site at St. Clair Country Club is 'outdoors', although it is a large covered tent area. This is great because you can hold a beautiful wedding ceremony outdoors rain or shine. It's a wonderful option! I like their consistent use of the chandeliers in this space, and it's great for a natural flower arch at the end of the 'aisle'. The ballroom patio can seat many guests, so you have ample seating options! After the wedding ceremony, stick around and do your formal family photos under the same tent, and then head right out to the back of the clubhouse for your bridal party and wedding portraits time.
CEREMONY SITE
The reception ballroom at St Clair Country Club is a large space with many windows and a small stage area for a band or DJ. The dance floor will typically be in the center of the room. From the back of the room, there is a small hallway with restrooms, which links around to a large bar and cocktail area. Following the same circular pattern, there is a wine room and then another room (completing the circle back to the ballroom), which is a great for your wedding reception bar location and cookie table.
The St Clair Country Club wedding reception space offers a lot to your guests - quiet space, separate bar areas, and a large dance floor.
RECEPTION BALLROOM
Many golf course venues offer great locations for photos, and St. Clair Country Club is no outlier. Within easy walking distance of the club house, you have access to multiple golf holes, walk ways, and pretty light. On the back side of the club house, there is ample natural light and open spaces - perfect for quick portraits right after your ceremony.
On the right side of the clubhouse is a small coverage walkway with pretty bushes and greenery, which is great for a rainy or super-hot day.
On the left side of the clubhouse is the 'sunset area', because it's to the west and great for late evening portrait sessions.
Inside of the clubhouse, I love the first staircase with it's large windows and vast amount of beautiful woodwork.
