University CLUB
The University Club at the University of Pittsburgh is an all time favorite. As a PITT alum, I have a heart for weddings in the Oakland area. The club has a rich and quiet feel, and boasts a wonderful balcony that overlooks the Cathedral of Learning on the PITT campus.

After your wedding ceremony, guests can relax on the Rooftop Terrace and enjoy the scenery with a cocktail in hand. Perfect especially during Pittsburgh's summer months, the terrace is a great place for guests to mingle and relax before the party begins in the ballroom.

The ballroom at the University Club is a wonderful place for wedding receptions. It's grand, with high ceilings and chandeliers, but also a great room to mingle with guests and dance the night away. The room comfortably seats a large crowd, while still offering great space for a large dance floor. I love this part of the University Club, because it never feels crowded!
Your wedding cookie table (with custom PITT cookies if you want!) can be setup directly outside of the Ballroom, for guests to enjoy as they please and get a small break from the music of the DJ.
The grand staircase leading up to the main Ballroom is also a perfect entrance for guests and a great place for a few photos!

If you're thinking of not only hosting your wedding reception at the University Club, but also getting married in the iconic Heinz Memorial Chapel - you're in luck! If you hold your wedding reception at the University Club, the Heinz Chapel fee is waived.
That's a huge win for anyone who loves both spaces - a must do for making wedding planning easy and beautiful!
TEAMING UP WITH HEINZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL
The University Club is located right in the heart of PITT campus, which means there are tons of locations within easy walking distance of the reception venue. Across the street, there is the lawn of Soldiers and Sailors, where I love to get a great angle of my wedding couples with the Cathedral of Learning.
The Cathedral Lawn is also beautiful and green and offers a lot of architecture and nature within a short walking distance. The William Pitt Union also has a great veranda for wedding party photos! You can showcase all of the glory of PITT within a block radius of the University Club!
Additionally, cocktail hour images can have great background scenery from the location of the University Club.
