A Beautiful Late Spring Wedding at St. Clair Country Club

There’s something special about a St. Clair Country Club wedding in late spring. With everything in full bloom, warm sunshine, and lush greens across the golf course, it’s easy to see why this iconic South Hills Pittsburgh wedding venue is such a favorite for couples.

Alexa and Aaron’s wedding at St. Clair Country Club was the perfect way to celebrate the end of May. From their elegant outdoor ceremony to an unforgettable fireworks display at the end of the night, every part of the day was filled with joy, laughter, and thoughtful details. As a Pittsburgh wedding photographer, it’s always exciting to return to this beautiful venue, and this day reminded me exactly why I love photographing weddings here.

An Elegant Outdoor Ceremony at St. Clair Country Club

One of my favorite parts of the day was the ceremony held beneath the venue’s outdoor tent. It offers the perfect combination of being outdoors while still providing shade and protection if the weather changes. The natural surroundings create such a beautiful backdrop for exchanging vows, and the soft light under the tent photographs beautifully throughout the ceremony.

Late May is one of my favorite times of year for weddings because everything feels fresh and vibrant. The landscaping around the club was absolutely gorgeous, giving us endless opportunities for portraits throughout the property.

Wedding Portraits Around the Golf Course

St. Clair Country Club offers so many wonderful portrait locations. The rolling golf course, mature trees, elegant clubhouse, and beautifully maintained grounds provide timeless backgrounds that never go out of style.

The evening light during Alexa and Aaron’s portraits was absolutely beautiful. We were able to take advantage of the golden hour before heading into an incredible reception celebration.

A Reception Full of Great Food, Familiar Faces, and Sparklers

One of the things I always appreciate about photographing weddings at St. Clair Country Club is how incredibly well the staff treats everyone involved. Their hospitality extends beyond the couple and guests—they genuinely take wonderful care of every vendor working the wedding. The vendor meal was absolutely delicious, and everyone on the St. Clair team was kind, organized, and professional throughout the entire day. It truly makes such a difference when everyone works together so seamlessly.

Another unexpected highlight was running into several past couples and parents whose weddings I’ve photographed over the years. One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is watching families grow and reconnecting with them at future celebrations. Seeing familiar faces throughout the evening made the day feel even more meaningful.

Then came one of the most memorable moments of the night—the sparklers. They were the perfect surprise ending to an already incredible celebration and created such a magical atmosphere for everyone attending. It was a spectacular way to wrap up an unforgettable wedding day.
